… Charges them to perform without excuses
… Inaugurates three remaining transition members
The Transition Chairman, Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State, Hon. Sir Ogo Ekwueme, on Wednesday named six principal officers from among the twenty two member transition Committee who are to assist him in running the affairs of the local government in the next three months.
In a brief ceremony which also witnessed the inauguration of the remaining three Transition Committee members namely: Hon. Bernard Nwankwo, Hon. Harrison Okeke and Hon. Ifeanyi Iloha, who were unavoidably absent when the rest were inaugurated a fortnight ago, Ekwueme named Hon. Henry Madu as the Deputy Chairman/Supervisor for Agriculture.
Others include: Hon. Ifeanyi Nwankwo as the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Arch. Chukwudi Onuorah as Supervisor for Works, Hon. Oby Stella Nwobodo as Supervisor for Health, Hon. Barr. Stephen Obiorah as Supervisor for Education and Hon. Ifeanyi Iloha as Supervisor for Finance.
Speaking during the ceremony, the Mayor charged the supervisors that to whom much is given, much is expected and for them to work together as a team with the rest of their colleagues. He emphasized that though selection was based on their antecedent and experience, performance at the grassroots and teamwork will determine longevity of their positions.
He encouraged them that in order to achieve the Governor’s mandate, the Mayor pledged his full support to his entire team as the Chairman to the best of his capacity and ability.
