In a bid to put smiles on the faces of many as part of his birthday celebration for the year 2022, Pastor in charge, Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Comforters Assembly, Lagos Province 38, Area 3, Pastor Muyiwa Matilukuro has empowered Small and Medium scale Enterprises (SME) in the church with cash gift to grow their respective businesses.
This was part of his Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) for members of the parish, even as a total of 11 widows and 23 traders, small business owners benefitted from the gesture.
Similarly, no fewer than eleven widows and widowers were also encouraged and supported with food items.
Speaking recently in Lagos, Matilukuro explained that instead of celebrating the year’s birthday with food and drinks for members to wine and dine, there was the need to empower business owners adding that the widows and widowers should be supported regularly with relief materials in line with the scripture reference to James 1:27.
The Clergyman prophesied that with the little support for small business owners, God will prosper and multiple their investments -Matthew 14:13-21.
He added that as a family, there was need to support one another for the sustainability of homes despite the harsh economy situation of the country, noting that RCCG Comforters Assembly will continue to grow physical, financially and spiritually citing Galatians 6:2.
The Area Pastor further appealed to the beneficiaries to always pray for financial and spiritual growth with divine favour from God.
While citing relevant scriptures to buttress his sermon, Pastor Matilukuro quoted Proverbs 30:8-9, “Lord, I ask but two things from You: first, help me to never tell a lie; second, give to me neither riches nor poverty because in my poverty, I might steal and in my riches I might become content without You!”
He added the book of Philippians 4:19 — saying, “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”
The Clergyman who was born July 22nd has been instrumental through the power of God to empower members since the establishment of the parish in 2016.
Highpoints of the service was the distribution of food items to widows and widowers and the handing over of cheques and cash gifts to business owners at the church auditorium.
Food items distributed to beneficiaries include: Semovite, beans, rice, noodles , seasonings and vegetable oil.
