The Chairman, Governing Council of the Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria, CRFFN, Alhaji Abubakar Tsanni has congratulated the Chairman, Governing Board of the Nigerian Shippers’ Council, NSC, Lawal Sama’ila Abdullah over his emergence as the Chairman of the Governing Boards Chairmen in the Federal Ministry of Transportation.
Recall that during the celebration of the 2022 World Maritime Day recently in Lagos, the Honourable Minister of Transportation, Alhaji Mu’azu Sambo, in a discussion with Chairmen of Governing Boards, harped on the need to have the Chairman of all the Governing Board Chairmen in the Ministry.
The outcome of that suggestion was the appointment of Abdullah to preside over the affairs of all the Chairmen, Governing Boards in the Federal Ministry of Transportation as well as speak on their behalf in matters affecting them.
However, in a congratulatory message to Abdullah which was made available to Primetime Reporters, Alhaji Abubakar Tsanni described him as well experienced and vast adding that he would bring his experience as former Secretary to Kaduna State Government to bear on his new assignment.
Tsanni observed that the appointment of Abdullah which was welcomed by the majority of the Board Chairmen was a testimony to his capacity to lead the new body which according to him was the first of its kind in the Ministry.
While informing that the Honourable Minister had approved his appointment, he said, ” He is more qualified for the job and he’s older too. He is former SSG to Kaduna State Government, a former Commissioner and so on. He’s experienced.”
While congratulating him, the CRFFN Governing Council Chairman admonished him to discharge his duty with fear of God and provide leadership to the members of the new body.
