… Says APC candidate wrongly declared

The Labour Party House of Representatives candidate for Alimosho Federal Constituency of Lagos State in the February 25 Presidential and National Assembly elections, Engr. Azubuike Umeadi has urged the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to declare him winner of the election insisting that the All Progressives Congress, APC candidate, Comrade Ganiyu Adele Ayuba was wrongly declared the winner of the election.

Umeadi who stated this in an exclusive chat with Primetime Reporters in Lagos claimed that Labour Party won the election and not APC as wrongly declared by INEC, even as he frowned at the role played by the security agencies in the whole drama.

According to him, the Police, with the help of the Area Commander, Area M, invaded the the collation centre, took the result sheets elsewhere, changed some polling units results and name the APC candidate winner of the election, then asked them to go to court.

“We asking INEC to do the needful by giving us our mandate back. The voting process was peaceful but at the collation centre, they changed results from some polling units, forged the signatures of some INEC officials and when they forcefully took the result out, they named the APC candidate winner when members of the PDP and other political parties have started congratulating me as the winner of the election.

“It’s so shameful that this kind of thing will be happening in this digital age. They don’t know that people were capturing them on camera. When they discovered that we have won, they regroup themselves with the help of the Police, came and took away voting materials and went and declared another person winner.

“They asked us to go to court because they believe we cannot get anything from the court. We are Obidient, we must go and get the mandate of the people back because the Yorubas votes us, the Igbos voted us, the Hausas equally voted us in Alimosho. They wanted us to go and represent them and most of them are not happy.

“Some of them have been calling me on phone, asking me if I should keep quiet after all these their sufferings, they didn’t sleep for three days, day and night, they were pursuing them with guns and cutlasses and they voted and I won the election”, he said.

Labour party won Alimosho Federal House of Representatives VERY CONVINCINGLY. Unfortunately, APC aided by INEC and agencies of government, subverted the will of the people.

The court should be brave to do the right thing and declare Emmanuel Umeadi as winner of 2023 HoR elections, Alimosho Federal Constituency.
