The Peter Obi Support Network (POSN) has congratulated His Excellency, Dr. Alex Otti, on his victory in the just-concluded Governorship and House of Assembly elections in Abia State, describing it as well deserved.

The group in a statement signed by its Abia State Coordinator, Pastor Prince Solomon noted that Dr. Otti “has over the years displayed uncommon resilience and legendary determination in his pursuit of the mandate to restore the glory of Abia.”

POSN assured the Governor-elect that “the entire Obidient family in the state is solidly behind him in his quest to reposition the state to the path of honour and glory.”

The group in the statement issued on Friday also congratulated Labour Party Governorship Candidate in neighbouring Enugu State, Hon. Chijioke Edeoga for his gallant performance during the March 18 election, expressing confidence that he would recover his stolen mandate in court.

The statement reads in part: “We the Peter Obi Support Network (POSN) heartily rejoice with the Governor-elect of Abia State, His Excellency, Dr. Alex Otti, on his well-deserved victory in the just-concluded Abia governorship election.

“Dr. Otti has over the years displayed resilience and legendary determination in his pursuit of the mandate to restore the glory of Abia and today, it has paid off. We the Obidient family backed you up with everything in us.

“The entire members of POSN, Abia State, is solidly with you and behind you, believing that in a couple of months after your swearing-in on May 29, Abians will begin to witness positive and dramatic changes as you work assiduously to restore the glory of our beloved state. Bravo, the people’s governor. Once again, congratulations.”

On the outcome of the governorship election in Enugu State, POSN said: “It is crystal clear that what took place in Enugu was daylight robbery of the mandate freely given to Labour Party Governorship Candidate, Hon. Chijioke Edeoga. While we congratulate Edeoga on his gallant efforts, we wish to assure him that the Obidient family is solidly behind him in his quest to recover his stolen mandate.

“We are confident that the judiciary will do the right thing and render justice to Edeoga, the people’s chosen Governor whose mandate was truncated by the failed Peoples Democratic Party in connivance with corrupt INEC officials,” POSN concluded.
