The Chairman of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders, NAGAFF, Tincan Island chapter, Chief Emeka Paul Chiedozie has applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for taking some important decisions that would uplift the Nigerian economy.

Chiedozie who gave the applause in a chat with our correspondent in Lagos on Monday, however, called on the president to, as a matter of urgency, beam his search light in the maritime sector area of the Nigerian economy.

He explained that the amount of wealth in the maritime sector alone, if properly managed, could comfortably take care of the Nigeria economy.

Speaking on some key appointments made by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in recent times, the NAGAFF Chairman described the appointment of the Acting Comptroller General of Customs, DCG Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, MFR as a “round peg in a round hole.”

According to him, “In 2019, DCG Adeniyi was redeployed to serve as the Controller at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, MMIA Command, Lagos. He was promoted to the rank of Assistant Comptroller General in February 2020 shortly after he supervised the seizure of $8.07 million cash that would have been illegally taken out of Nigeria through the e-Wing of the international airport tarmac.

“That was record breaking! He was subsequently posted to head the Nigeria Customs Command and Staff College, Gwagwalada, Abuja as Commandant.

DCG Adeniyi is so honest to the core, and a man that stands by his decision come rain come sun.”

Meanwhile, Forwarder Emeka Paul Chiedozie has felicitated with all Muslims on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir festival urging them to pray for Nigeria and her leaders.

Chiedozie, who doubles as the Managing Director of Seagold Group of Companies, appealed to NAGAFF Tincan Island chapter members who are Muslims not to be distracted but remain focus, imbibing selfless sacrifice at all times in tune with the virtues of love, kindness, mercy, and goodness in their daily lives as admonished by the holy prophet.
