The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN, Anambra Chapter, has condoled with the National President of the Association, Israel Kemje Benjamin over the death of his father, Pa Isaiah Boyi Israel.

In a condolence message co-signed by the Chairman of the Chapter, Mr. Anthony Oji and the Secretary, Mr. Chimezie Anaso and made available to newsmen in Awka, Pa Israel died Monday morning in his country home, Bassa Local Government Area of Kogi State at the age of 92.

The statement read in part, “SWAN Anambra Chapter commiserate and stand with you and members of the Isaiah family as you pass through this trying time.

“It is of great concern that you lost your father at a time when you were in a national assignment, coordinating affairs of sports journalists covering the 7th National Youth Games.

“We pray God to console, grant you and members of the larger Isaiah family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.

“We also pray that the soul of Pa Isaiah Boyi Israel will find eternal repose”, it prayed.
