The Executive Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, last Saturday, alongside top government functionaries, power brokers, Captains of industry, technocrats, job creators attended the Solution Team Organization Anambra Central Zonal Mega Rally in Awka, Anambra State Capital.
Speaking during the rally which recorded a massive turnout of Ndi Anambra including APGA faithful and members of other political parties in the state, Governor Soludo who was represented by the Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim extolled the organizers of the rally for pulling out such a mammoth crowd, especially the Convener, Hon. Ossy Onuko and the Coordinator of the group in the senatorial district, Prince Obinna Ndigwe, noting that he was more than impressed with the turnout of people at the event as well as the agenda being advanced.
The State’s number one citizen enjoined Ndi Anambra to continue to support and promote his administration, emphasizing that he was elected to simplify governance and make Anambra State the best in the country in terms of all good governance indices, saying that with adequate support and prayers, he would fulfill and implement all his campaign promises, even as he said that he had done more enough within one and half year in office as the Governor.
Governor Soludo explained his administration would continue to churn out policies and Programmes that would better the lot of the youths, women and elderly in the state as well as the civil servants, petty traders, artisans, among others, saying that the present administration had just empowered over 5,000 youths through 1 Youth 2 Skills Solution Initiative, employed over 5000 teachers and ready to engage more teachers. He added that they were also employing health workers and also embarking on massive road construction across the state.
He assured that the State Capital would attain its full potential under his watch and that Awka would take its place in the comity of state capitals in Nigeria, saying that a lot had been done so far to give Awka a serious facelift and more works to be carried out.
Earlier in his speech, the Convener of the Solution Team Organization and the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Awka Capital Territory Development Authority, Hon. Ossy Onuko paid a glowing tribute to the Governor for giving the youths a voice in his cabinet and for the faith he reposed on him by saddling him with such a lofty Agency to manage, adding that the people of Anambra State would not wait to repay him for his wonderful work in the state, assuring that they would not relent in their onerous task of mobilizing support from all nooks and crannies of the state.
Hon. Onuko who was highly elated with the calibre of people that attended the rally explained that their sole aim was to take Solution Agenda to the grassroots and also to ensure that the Governor recorded a landslide victory come 2025.
According to Onuko, they would not relent in preaching Solution ‘s message to everyone in the state, assuring that the organization had the capacity to deliver.
In an interview, the Coordinator of Solution Team Organization, Anambra Central Senatorial Zone, Prince Obinna Ndigwe said that they were concerned with the propagation of Governor Soludo’s good works as well as his re-election agenda, noting that the Governor had done well to merit a second term in office.
Some of the dignitaries that attended the function included the Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters, Dr. Alex Obiogbolu, the Chief of Protocol to the Governor, Hon. Chinedu Glamour, the National President of ASATU, Chief Barr. Titus Akpudo (Ichaka), Hon. Comrade Obi Ochije, Hon. Peter Uyanwunne (Peroo), Hon. Nnamsom Nwafor-Orizu (Political Tiligada), Engr. Emeka Anyadubalu (Dortland Properties), Chief Emeka Nwosu (Okpuzu Awka), among others.
Inauguration of Soludo Ambassadors, interactions, speeches, cultural displays, masquerades performance formed the highpoints of the occasion.
