The National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders, NAGAFF has congratulated the Comptroller General of Customs, Mr. Bashir Adewale Adeniyi over his ability to resuscitate the Comptroller General of Customs, CGC Conference after 8 years.

The National President of NAGAFF, Chief Tochukwu Ezisi who extended the felicitations of the association to the CGC in a goodwill message at the ongoing Comptroller General of Customs Conference holding in Lagos between 13th and 15th December, 2023 explained that the felicitations was in recognition of his intelligent, tenacious, and innovative disposition and of course, in anticipation of a very successful CGC Conference.

Describing Adeniyi as a born leader who was well known for his cerebral mien and his masterful human management skills, Ezisi opined that “the level of motivation of the officers and men of the NCS under his watch has been legendary as evident in the reported performances of the different Units and Commands these past six months such that the retired officers wish they could come back to service.

“The CGC Conference 2023 with the theme,“Leveraging Data Analytics for Secure and Efficient Trade Facilitation in Customs Operations” comes at the right time when the phrase ‘Ease of Doing Business’ which used to be a Presidential Order has been totally neglected by Terminal operators and Shipping companies.

“The CGC’s Conference is a forum for the discussion of issues that are salient and totally germane to the wellbeing of the Service, the evolution of standards in customs operation and efficiency. We trust that the quality of the man and his men will be brought to bear on the forum.”
