The Anambra State ICT Agency, in collaboration with Active8 HUB, is excited to present the AI in Journalism workshop. This event marks the second chapter in the Agency’s initiative to boost the digital expertise of the state’s media workforce, offering them the necessary tools to excel in an increasingly digital world.

The collaboration between the Anambra State ICT Agency and Active8 HUB, highlights a commitment to fostering innovation and technological advancement within the media industry. Both organizations bring a wealth of expertise to the table, ensuring a comprehensive and enriching training experience.

The choice of AI training for media professionals is apt, as it has the potential to equip them with the skills needed to leverage emerging technologies, streamline processes, and adapt to the evolving demands of the industry. It not only enhances their ability to produce high-quality content but also positions them at the forefront of innovation in journalism.

In today’s rapidly shifting media landscape, journalists must not only keep up, but leap ahead. AI becomes their secret weapon, streamlining workflows to boost productivity, efficiently combatting misinformation through fact-checking, and unlocking innovative storytelling formats to engage audiences in entirely new ways. With AI, journalists can do more, do it faster, and tell better stories – it’s the key to unlocking their full potential in the digital age.

This hands-on workshop aims to equip participants with the complete AI toolkit for journalism. From grasping the core concepts to mastering practical applications in reporting, data analysis, and fact-checking, participants will learn through interactive exercises, how to wield AI responsibly, navigating ethical considerations to unlock its full potential for impactful storytelling.

According to a statement signed by the MD/CEO of the Anambra State ICT Agency, Mr. Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata, the agency is committed to the realization of Governor Soludo’s vision of “Everything Technology, Technology Everywhere.”
