Customs Concludes Three-Day Training For Declarants At Onne Port

…As APFFLON hails NCS management for the training 

The Nigeria Customs Service, NCS has concluded a three day Administrative and Operational Awareness Training for Licensed Customs Agents otherwise known as the Declarants at Area 2 Command, Onne, Port-Harcourt in Rivers State.

The training which was held at the NCS Training Room at Area 2 Customs Command, Onn, Port-Harcourt took place between 25th and 27th March, 2024 beginning from 9.00am daily.

Members of the Association of Nigeria Licensed Customs Agents, ANLCA; Africa Association of Professional Freight Forwarders and Logistics of Nigeria, APFFLON, National Council of Managing Directors of Licensed Customs Agents, NCMDLCA among others participated in the three days training which ended yesterday at Onne, Rivers State.

The training which seeks to expose the participants to the administrative and operational aspects of their job so as to enhance their capacity and further build on their potentials was anchored by the Assistant Comptroller General of Customs in charge of Training and Coordination, ACG Malanta Ibrahim Yusuf assisted by other resource persons.

In his reaction, the National President of APFFLON, Otunba Frank Ogunojemite thanked the Nigeria Customs Service, NCS particularly the Comptroller General of Customs, CG Bashir Adewale Adeniyi for approving and putting up the training which he said will further equip the practitioners in the nitty-gritty of their job and further enhance their capacity to assist the Service meet its revenue mandate.

He called for more of the training both at the Onne command and other commands across the nation describing the development as a welcomed one and a way to go in customs administration.
