…Says her reappointment well deserved

The Labour Party House of Representatives Candidate for Alimosho Federal Constituency of Lagos State in the 2023 National Assembly Elections, Engr. Emmanuel Azubuike Umeadi has congratulated the Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State, Hon. Amaka Obi on her reappointment and swearing in by the governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo.

Hon. Obi was among the eight (8) Transition Committee Chairmen reappointed by Soludo after the expiration of their one year and eight months first term in office. She was among the twenty one (21) Transition Committee Chairmen sworn in at the Government House, Awka yesterday by Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo of Anambra State.

Speaking in a congratulatory message made available to Primetime Reporters on Thursday, Umeadi described the reappointment of Hon. Obi as well deserved adding that she had distinguished herself through the execution of people oriented projects during her first term in office which he said had endeared the Mayor to the people and the governor.

He posited that Hon. Obi had brought human face to governance in Idemili South Local Government Area, touching the lives of the people directly and impacting on their lives. He believed that it was as a result of the life changing programmes executed by the Idemili South Council boss that earned her the people’s trust culminating in her reappointment and subsequent swearing in by the governor.

Umeadi who initially aspired to contest for the Anambra State House of Assembly, Idemili South State constituency in the 2023 general elections under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, expressed the hope that with her reappointment, Hon. Amaka Obi would redouble her efforts in working to actualize the Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo’s vision of making Anambra State a liveable and prosperous homeland.

“It is my hope that Hon. Amaka Obi would surpass her initial achievement this time around because she has learned the ropes and has mastered the political terrain of Idemili South Local Government Area. I have no doubt that she will work to justify the confidence reposed on her by the people and the governor of Anambra State.

“I congratulate her and pray for God’s guidance and divine wisdom to carry out the mandate given to her by the governor and by extension, the people of Idemili South Local Government Area who supported her to achieve this feat.

“On my part, I will not hesitate to support and assist her in any way I can to help her succeed in this task because she needs our support now more than ever to bring about the desired change and impact on the lives of the people of Idemili South Local Government Area because if she succeeds, it is for the good of the entire Idemili South. So, we have no choice than to support her. I wish her well”, Umeadi who is the Chairman, National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders, NAGAFF Kirikiri Lighter Terminal, KLT chapter said.
