MARAN Hosts Strategic Meeting On Trade Facilitation, Tinubu’s Economic Agenda Wednesday

The Maritime Reporters Association of Nigeria MARAN is set to host a strategic breakfast meeting on trade facilitation on Wednesday July 24, 2024 at Rockview Hotel, Apapa Lagos.

The event, themed, “Trade Facilitation and President Tinubu’s Economic Agenda: Matters Arising,” will commence by 10:00am.

Comrade Fadipe Moses Olayemi, Founder and CEO of Skynet Trueway International Limited and Consultant CBI/MACN West Africa, will chair the meeting. 

The event according to a press statement signed by the association’s President, Mr. Godfrey Bivbere aims to bring together key maritime stakeholders to discuss the strategic alignment of trade facilitation measures with President Tinubu’s economic policies.

He informed that the meeting will feature prominent figures in the maritime industry, including Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, and Barrister Pius Akutah, Executive Secretary and CEO of the Nigerian Shippers’ Council. 

Dr. Muda Yusuf, CEO of the Centre for the Promotion of Public Enterprise, will deliver the keynote address, while Mr. Lucky Eyis Amiwero, National President of the National Council of Managing Directors of Licensed Customs Agents, will deliver goodwill messages.

MARAN President, Godfrey Bivbere emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts between governmental bodies and private sector stakeholders in fostering an environment conducive to trade. He encouraged stakeholders to come together, share insights, and develop strategies that align with national economic goals.
