In an unprecedented arena at the Cine 21 Cinema Aba, Abia State, more than 60 precious souls were won for God in a single viewing experience of Bright Wonder Obasi’s Faith Based Movie, “CHAINS – No longer a slave”.

It all began as a renowned ‘soul hunter’ Evangelist Akachi Nwoke, President of Free School Foundation and Lead Pastor of The Afternoon Church, led 120 youths to Cine 21 Cinema Aba, Abia State, Nigeria in a fully personal funded endeavour.

Genuinely touched by this soul searching Faith Based Movie, over 60 people openly surrendered their lives to Christ, repented, prayed for and were reconnected to their maker during the movie viewing.

Recounting the experience, Evangelist Akachi Nwoke wrote; “Over 60 people surrender their lives to Christ in just one viewing of CHAINS Movie. The revolution has begun.

“We took 120 youths to see the movie, Chains, in the Cinema and we had over half of that number rededicate their lives to Christ by seeing a movie.

“We want to recommend this movie to you.

It is called Chains by Bright Wonder Obasi featuring Anslem Madubuko, produced by Gospel Cinema International.

“God’s people are taking their place in all mountains of influence. Buying these movie tickets was cheaper than organizing a crusade this rainy season. Strategies should be reviewed.”

The Movie ‘Chains’

The movie featured top gospel music artists and ministers including Apostle Anselm Maduboko, Onos Ariyo, Solomon Lange, Tayo Christian, Flora Lange, Ccioma, Naomi Mac and others. It tells a story of A Gospel Music Artist who sets out on a journey to balance his Music Ministry and the realities of the Music Industry, putting at risk all he’s built over the years, while battling with a moral disease common to all humanity, but determined to no longer live as a slave.

CHAINS is a highly spiritual movie that has come as a beacon of light at such a time as this, to stir up a revolution in the film industry, bringing the love of God to cinemas, and seeding the emergence of more Christ-centric films in mainstream distribution; both cinemas and streaming platforms.

CHAINS movie is distributed by Silverbird Distribution. It commenced its theatrical run across cinemas in Nigeria from August 16, 2024. Afterwards, the movie will commence a tour across Africa, The US, UK, Canada, and more.

The Production

CHAINS movie is a production of Gospel Cinema International, a Christian Film Ministry, focused on motion picture evangelism, through the production and distribution of movies, TV series, documentaries, media contents in general for the purpose of praising God, inspiring Christians, evangelizing the unsaved, and spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. For the earnest expectation of creation eagerly awaits the manifestation of the sons of God therefore, God’s children must arise to establish the Kingdom Culture even in mainstream distribution.
