Build Your Brand To Drive Sustainable Growth, Experts Advise Business Owners

Speaking to business owners at the Elitepreneur Workshop recently, experts emphasized the importance of building a strong brand to drive sustainable growth in today’s competitive market. The event which took place in Lekki, Lagos, brought together prominent industry figures to share insights and strategies for achieving long-term business success.

One of the experts who led a masterclass, Israel Oladipupo Ogunseye, Senior Marketing Manager at Mdundo, advised entrepreneurs to integrate marketing, sales, and brand management to create a cohesive strategy that resonates with their target audience. 

“To build a sustainable brand, businesses must go beyond mere advertising; they need to create meaningful connections with their customers by understanding their needs and delivering consistent value”, Ogunseye said. 

He highlighted the importance of adapting marketing strategies to align with local consumer preferences and leveraging digital tools to enhance brand visibility and engagement.

Bethel Bekee, CEO of Whip Smart Consulting, also shared her expertise, focusing on the need for innovation in challenging economic times. “Nigerian businesses must learn to pivot and innovate to stay relevant”, Bekee stated. “By understanding market dynamics and leveraging cost-effective strategies, businesses can survive and thrive, even in uncertain times.”

While commenting on the event’s purpose, the workshop convener, Kaydoe Jegede, spoke about the importance of knowledge sharing and collaboration among business owners. 

“The Elitepreneur Workshop is designed to be a platform where business leaders can learn from each other’s experiences and gain valuable insights to help them grow. We believe that by fostering a community of entrepreneurs committed to excellence, we can drive significant positive change in the Nigerian business landscape”, Jegede remarked.

Other notable speakers included Peace Obule, CEO of DebtRecuva, who shared her expertise on effective debt recovery strategies; Olamide Lamide, SA, Youth and Sport, Ogun State, who emphasized the role of youth empowerment in entrepreneurship; Adekunle Adebiyi, Director of Sales, GLO, who provided valuable insights on customer engagement; Edwina Olanipekun, Head of People Management, CREDIT DIRECT, who spoke on strategic people management; and Toyin Olasehinde, Co-founder of Woodcore & Treford, who highlighted sustainable practices in the creative industry. Their expertise left the audience feeling informed and empowered.

The event concluded with a vibrant networking session, providing a unique opportunity for attendees to connect with the speakers and other entrepreneurs. This session fostered meaningful discussions, allowing participants to share their ideas and explore potential collaborations, leaving them feeling connected and part of a thriving business community.
