The Maritime Reporters Association of Nigeria, MARAN, on Thursday, 19th December, 2024 celebrated its end of year party 2024 with prayers and Thanksgiving to God.

The event was organized to express gratitude to God for his blessings in protecting the members throughout year 2024 and for elevating MARAN to new heights.

Speaking at the event which coincided with the association’s end of the year General meeting, MARAN President, Godfrey Bivbere acknowledged that the association has had a good run in the year 2024, acknowledging heights attained by his members through the help of God and maritime stakeholders.

As fourth estates of the realm and critical stakeholders in the Marine and Blue Economy, Bivbere charged members to redouble their efforts in the year 2025, and ensure growth of the sector through developmental journalism.

A significant highlight of the gathering was the presence of a clergy, Pastor Ezekiel Vincent, who offered prayers on behalf of all MARAN members, their families, and stakeholders.

Pastor Ezekiel Vincent commended MARAN for acknowledging God for taking the association to where it is today, stressing that thanksgiving is a key to opening of future doors.

The celebration included a musical interlude, during which members danced and enjoyed refreshments in a spirit of thankfulness.
