Oscar Ivara Takes Over As New Spokesman Of Tincan Island Customs Command

Superintendent of Customs, Oscar Enya Ivara has taken over as the Public Relations Officer of the Tincan lsland Port Customs Command in Lagos.

Born on April 6, 1978 in Abi LGA, Cross River State, South-South Nigeria, Ivara has a BSc in Business Administration from a South-West University in Ogun state.

Due to his zeal in acquiring more educational qualifications, he proceeded to Ahmadu Bello University Zaria for his post graduate Diploma in Public Administration.

As if that was not enough, he enrolled for his Masters Degree at the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers state where he bagged an MSc in Customs Administration and Border Management

Ivara who Joined the Service in February 2009 as a cadet inspector, has worked in the following Commands:  Station Officer, Bauchi/Gombe Area Command, Patrol officer under the Enforcement Unit, Ogun 1 Area Command, Public Relations Officer Bauchi/Gombe Area Command, Public Relations Officer Ikorodu Lighter Command and Public Relations Officer Area 1 Command Port Harcourt before his current appointment as the Spokesman for Tincan Island Port Command.

Ivara, the public Relations expert is a Member Nigeria Institute of Public Relations, NIPR.

Displaying hard work, excellence and leadership prowess, Ivara has bagged some awards in the course of his service.

In a handing over ceremony held in the Command on Friday, Ivara who took over from SC Ngozi Okwara said that as a result of his interpersonal relationship which is topnotch, he will effectively explore the media landscape in Lagos and team up with his high flyer Area Controller, Comptroller Frank Onyeka in order to keep the activities of the command relevant and engaging with the aim of building trust and accountability with all port operators.
