The Association of Nigerian Women Business Network has perfected its plans to celebrate the International Women’s Day in Lagos on Saturday 22nd March, 2025.

International Women’s Day is celebrated all over the world on March 8 every year to highlight the important roles women play in society and x-ray issues affecting them.

This event which is billed for 9.00am prompt will take place at the Mission for Seafarers located at No. 22 Marine Road, GRA, Apapa, Lagos.

With the theme, “Rights, Equality, Empowerment For all Women and Girls”, will feature exhibitions from different women groups and organizations, all for free.

Speaking on the event, the Promoter of the event and Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Bomarah Group, Hajia Bola Muse said, “We will be celebrating this year’s International Women’s Day on the 22 at the Mission for Seafarers. Come and see what is happening there.

“The topic is “Scale Up, Scale In and it’s about mentorship. We have some mentees whose mentors are not even from the maritime industry. It’s women groups coming together under one umbrella to pull this event.

“This year’s event is for us to make sure that we mentor the young ones in whatever business they are doing. We are there to assist them, counsel them and put them through.”

The event is part of the efforts to mark the International Women’s Day which is expected to continue through the month of March which is dedicated to women all over the world.
