Akutah, Dantsoho, Others To Attend 2025 MMS Hall of Famers’ Day Wednesday

… Five phenomenal women make list of Amazons  

Eminent Nigerian personalities including the Managing Director of Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA, Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho; Executive Secretary of Nigerian Shippers’ Council, NSC, Barr. Akutah Pius; Managing Director of Nigerian Railway Corporation, NRC, Dr. Kayode Opeifa, among others, is set to lead maritime stakeholders to the 2025 MMS Hall of Famers’ Day.

The Founder of MMS Woman of Fortune Hall of Fame, WoFHoF Initiative, Mr. Kingsley Anaroke, disclosed this in a press statement disseminated recently, 

According to Anaroke, the 2025 MMS Hall of Famers’ Day and recognition of the MMS Accelerated Amazons is being organised in commemoration of the International Women’s Season.

The summit is scheduled to hold on Wednesday, April 30th, 2025 by 11am at the Lagos Airport Hotel, Ikeja GRA, Lagos.

Themed: “Accelerate Action”, the event would feature a Human Resources Roundtable, HR on the topic, “Learning, Leading and Driving Innovations Across Industries in Today’s Dynamic Socio-Economic Environment.”

A former Acting Managing Director of National Inland Waterways Authority, NIWA and CEO, Lelook Bags Academy, Chief Mrs. Chinwe Ezenwa, will play the role of Chief Host while the event will be chaired by Barr. Mrs. Augustina Igbokwe, Managing Director, Tyse Group.

The Keynote Lecture will be delivered by the Group Head, Human Resources, SIFAX Group, Mr. Oluwakayode Alonge; while a panel session will feature a former Director, Human Resources, NSC, Mrs. Ada Okam; Special Adviser to Imo State Government on Aviation, Mrs. Rejoice Ndudinachi; and the CEO, Ocean Deep Services Limited, Mrs. Rollens Macfoy.

Mrs. Theodora Nwaeze, Group Human Resources Manager, LTT Coastal & Marine Services Limited, will be moderating the panel session.

Other special guests expected at the event include; Chairman, Skelas Group, Prince Olayiwola Shittu; Managing Director of National Inland Waterways Authority, NIWA, Mr. Bola Oyebamiji; Customs Zonal Coordinator, Zone A Headquarters, ACG Charles Orbih; Honourable Commissioner, Lagos State Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Hon.Cecilia Bolaji Dada; Chairman, Nigerian Ports Consultative Council, NPCC, Mr. Bolaji Sunmola, Rear Admiral Anthony Amauche (Rtd).

President of Women’s International Shipping and Trading Association, WISTA, Nigeria, Dr. Odunayo Ani; President, Women in Maritime Organisations in West and Central Africa, WIMOWCA, Barr. Mrs. Oritematosan Edodo-Emore; National President, Africa Association of Professional Freight Forwarders and Logistics of Nigeria, APFFLON, Otunba Frank Ogunojemite; Chairperson, Women in Logistics and Transport, WILAT, Mrs. Khadijat Sheidu-Shabi and the National President of Association of Nigeria Licensed Customs Agents, ANLCA, Mr. Emenike Nwokeoji.

Five phenomenal women will be recognized as Accelerated Amazons in this edition of the annual events. They are: Mrs. Virginia Nzeribe, Assistant Director, Jetties and Terminals, Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA; Dr. Ada Onwuka, Head Convener, World Disability Campaign in Nigeria; Mrs. Queen Ajayi,Assistant General Manager, AGM,Training and Human Resources Development, Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria, FAAN; Mrs. Florence Onweagba, Head, Corporate and Strategic Communication, Lagos Ports Complex, LPC, Apapa; Dr. Binta Fatimah Ahmadu, Chief Medical Director, Susamsss Hospital.
