The United Kingdom Chapter of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA has formally declared its unwavering support for the re-election of His Excellency, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, as Governor of Anambra State in the upcoming gubernatorial elections slated for November 8, 2025.

This strong endorsement came during a high-profile Town Hall Meeting with Governor Soludo held on April 21, 2025 at the Saray Banqueting Suite, London. The event drew a large and enthusiastic crowd of Anambra indigenes and supporters of good governance from across the UK diaspora.

The meeting, charged with energy and genuine engagement, offered attendees a rare opportunity to interact directly with Governor Soludo who shared firsthand insights into his administration’s achievements over the past three years, particularly in infrastructure, education, security, and economic reforms.

His transparent and articulate responses to questions won admiration and trust from many in the audience.

In a landmark presentation, the Publicity Secretary of APGA UK, Hon. Peter Ezekeli also known as Sympathy-DeMayor, formally announced the chapter’s full endorsement of Governor Soludo’s second-term bid, praising his visionary leadership and transformational governance.

On his own part, the Chairman of APGA UK, Chief Richard Ugochukwu Ilorah also known as Ebekuodike stated, “Governor Soludo has not only performed but has exceeded expectations. He has earned our respect and support. APGA UK is proud to stand behind his re-election bid.”

Chief Okey Emereonye, member of the National Working Committee, NWC and Board of Trustees, BOT of APGA UK added, “His leadership has redefined governance in Anambra State with bold reforms, people-focused development, and visionary execution.”

Governor Soludo, in his response, expressed deep appreciation for APGA UK’s consistent commitment to Anambra’s progress, commending the diaspora’s role in the state’s development.

The event also witnessed the presence of Rt. Hon. Ernest Ezeajughi, Chief of Staff to the Governor and former APGA UK Chairman, whose attendance underscored the strong connection between APGA’s home and diaspora branches.

While the event’s packed schedule limited formal speeches, there was time for memorable photo sessions, networking, and moments of solidarity. The chapter extended recognition to the event organisers, led by Mrs. Blessing Obi-Allison, Head of Communications, for a successful and well-coordinated gathering.

As the 2025 governorship election approaches, APGA UK Chapter has reaffirmed its readiness to mobilize support for Governor Soludo’s continuity agenda, viewing it as essential to the sustained transformation and future prosAnambra State.
