The National President of the National Compliance Joint Taskforce of Licensed Clearing Agents, NCJTFCLA, High Chief Dr. Basil Nwolisa has congratulated the initiators and the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi for developing and deploying the B’Odogwu platform to facilitate trade and improve the economy.
Nwolisa who sent his congratulatory message in a statement in Lagos on Saturday, observed that a thorough analysis of the B’Odogwu platform showed that the initiative had the potential to significantly impact on trade facilitation in the country.
Noting that the congratulatory message to the Customs boss and the initiators of the platform was well deserved, he said, “This achievement demonstrates a commitment to modernizing and improving the customs processes, which can have far-reaching benefits for the economy and the trade stakeholders.”
He however, listed the potential disadvantages of the B’Odogwu platform to include: technical issues, implementation challenges, and dependence on infrastructure adding that those identified challenges must be addressed to ensure the platform’s success.
To build on this success, the NCJTFCLA boss maintained that it was essential to continuously assess the platform’s performance to identify areas for improvement and proactively address potential issues such as technical glitches and infrastructure limitations.
He further submitted that there was the need to foster collaboration with stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition and effective adoption as well as provide adequate training and support to users to maximize the platform’s benefits.
“By doing so, the B’Odogwu platform can achieve its full potential and contribute to a more efficient, transparent, and effective customs processes in Nigeria”, he concluded.
