A House of Representatives hopeful for the Orumba North/South Federal Constituency of Anambra State in the 2019 general election, Captain Casmir Chinonso Nwafor (rtd.) has congratulated the Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano on the occasion of his 63rd birthday anniversary.
Nwafor who was full of praise for the governor, prayed God to sustain him more with wisdom to continue piloting the affairs of the state.
He further prayed God to surround him with real friends who would advise him on issues of serious concerns and not sycophants who would mislead him so that he may write his name in gold at the end of his tenure to the Glory of God.
He said, “Your Excellency, as the good Lord adds another year to your glorious years on Earth, I pray that he sustains you more with his wisdom to continue piloting the affairs of this great state. May he surround you with real friends to advise you on issues of serious concerns and not sycophants who will mislead. At the end of your tenure, may you write your name in Gold to the Glory of God. Ndi Anambra kwu gi n’azu, gaba n’iru”.
He therefore assured the governor of his unalloyed support and that of the good people of Anambra State to his administration adding that with his goodwill for the state, his success was sure.
It will be recalled that governor Obiano who turned 63 today had earlier warned Anambrarians and indeed all Nigerians against sponsoring his birthday anniversary in the media adding that all those who want to sponsor birthday wishes to him in the mass media should instead donate the money to charity, including the Christy Obiano Foundation which caters for orphans.
The Governor who made this appeal through the State’s Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Don Adinuba said that he would want to make his 63rd birthday a private affair adding that he would use the opportunity to meditate on the relationship between him and his maker and to thank God for his countless blessings to him and his family over the decades.
“He will also use the opportunity to reflect on the future of Anambra State and on the Nigerian condition. Chief Obiano would like to appeal to all Ndi Anambra and their friends across the globe to always remember him, his family and Anambra State in their thoughts and prayers, so that he will work more and more for the good of all.
“May God continue to guide, protect and bless the Governor and people of Anambra State, the Light of the Nation. Truly, His banner over us is love (Song of Solomon 2: 4)”, the statement said.
