The Anambra State Police command has debunked an online news report making the round on the social media alleging that the Police have discovered a hotel selling cooked human meat in the state and arrested 11 suspects with fresh human heads.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the command, Mr. Haruna Mohammed who made the rebuttal in a statement in Awka on Saturday described the report as “absolutely false and unfounded.”
“The report is totally false and unfounded, probably orchestrated by mischief makers who are trying to achieve their selfish interests.
“The command urges the public to disregard such rumour. Persons circulating this fake news are warned to desist forthwith as anyone apprehended will face severe legal consequences, please, Mohammed said.
