According to a statement signed by the President/Executive Director, JIFORM, Ajibola Abayomi, the summit tagged “Media Enhancement: Migration Language and Narrative Skills” is slated for May 27 to 29, 2020 at Akodo Resource, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos State.

Other members of the committee are the Chairperson of Nigeria Women Journalists Association (NAWOJ), Adeola Ekine, Yaqoub Yusuf of The Source Magazine, Boye Akintola of Radio Nigeria and Innocent Duru of The Nation newspaper.

The JIFORM President said: “To avoid undue pressure, we decided to put together the team with a workaholic Peter as Chairman so that we can have a successful event.

“One of the areas we feel we can assist our colleagues to improve their career is through training programmes. There are so many of that we had scheduled for this year because we are serious about equipping our members on advocacy against irregular migration and human trafficking.

“Those chosen as committee members are trusted and matured hands who are capable to deliver on any assignment with not for profit mentality. All JIFORM members across the world are welcomed to participate in our programmes both the ones within and outside Nigeria.”
