Obiano flags off distribution of palliative packages to indigent persons

The Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willy Obiano has flagged off the distribution of palliative packages to the indigent persons in the State powered by the Coalition Against Covid-19 (CACOVID) group at the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) office in Awka.

Obiano who was represented by his Deputy, Dr. Nkem Okeke described the pandemic period as a difficult time while pleading with everyone to look out for their people to see how they can be of help.

The Governor highlighted the efforts of both the state and federal fovernment on providing succor to their citizens and thanked the CACOVID group for their support.

CACOVID, a Coalition Against COVID-19 is a private sector-led organization in Nigeria established to assist the government in combating the Coronavirus disease in the country.

The group was launched in March 26, 2020, as a result of the announcement made by the Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele and Anambra is the first State to commence the CACOVID palliatives distribution.
