The Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC) has expressed sadness over the sudden passing of the former Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Hon. Justice Abdul Kafarati.

The Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Shippers’ Council, Barr. Hassan Bello who made the position of the Council known in a statement in Lagos on Wednesday observed that the Board, Management and staff of the Council, like many Nigerians, were saddened by the demise of the Judiciary icon.

Bello recalled that during his (Kafarati’s) time as the Chairman of the International Maritime Seminar for Judges Organizing Committee, a flagship programme of the Council, Late Justice Kafarati, brought energy, enthusiasm and dynamism to the seminar series for which Nigerian Shippers’ Council remained indebted to him.

Bello pointed out that many people would miss the late Justice Kafarati for his erudite judicial scholarship, adding that “we at the Nigerian Shippers’ Council will particularly miss his wise counsel, depth of humility and vast network of judicial connection which greatly lessened our burdened and broaden the impact of the seminar.”

“I wish to condole and commiserate with his family, friends, the Judiciary and the country for this loss.

“We pray to Allah to forgive all his short comings and admit him into Aljannat Firdaus. Ameen”, he prayed.
