MWUN loses Chief Accountant, Adeyanju mourns

The Chief Accountant to the Maritime Workers’ Union of Nigeria (MWUN), Comrade Timothy Olufemi Olorunsola is dedead.

Olorunsola whose cause of death was not disclosed in a statement signed by the President General, MWUN, Comrade Prince Adewale Adeyanju yesterday, passed away on Wednesday, 13th July, 2023 in Lagos.

Comrade Timothy O. Olorunsola who hailed from Ondo State joined the then Autonomous Union of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) which was later amalgamated as a branch of MWUN as Clerical Account Officer and through dint of hard work rose through the ranks to attain the prestigious position of Chief Accountant of the union.

Adeyanju in the statement noted that until his death, Comrade Timothy Olufemi Olorunsola served the union diligently, faithfully and in total commement to duty and his fellowship.

While describing his death as “sudden and painful”, the President General said, “We pray for the repose of his beautiful soul and pray that God grant the family and the union the fortitude to bear this loss.”
