The Maritime Reporters Association of Nigeria, MARAN has commiserated with the Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA, Mohammed Bello-Koko over the death of his father, Alhaji Muhammad Koko.

MARAN in a statement signed by its President, Godfrey Bivbere, expressed the condolence of the association to the NPA helmsman and the entire koko family.

Bivbere said though the death of a loved one is painful, no matter the age at the time of death, the NPA boss and the family should take solace in the fact that it is the almighty’s wish to take the late Alhaji Muhammad Koko home at this time.

“It is our prayers that Allah will have mercy on his soul and forgive him his shortcomings as well as grant him entrance to everlasting rest.”

Alhaji Koko died on Friday 21 July, 2023 after a protracted illness.

The NPA MD had earlier announced the death of his father on his official Twitter handle.

His message read in part, “This morning, my dear father, Alh. Muhammad Koko passed away after a protracted illness.

“May Allah have mercy on his soul and forgive him all his shortcomings,” he wrote.
