The statement recalled that on his resumption of office on 14 September, 2023, Nnadi said, “the command revenue target of over 801 Billion Naira currently stands at 52 percent, with barely 3 months to the end of the year 2023, meaning we must collect 48 percent of the remaining revenue.”

The statement added, “Precisely 11 working days after his resumption, a commendable milestone was achieved. The Command surpassed its monthly target by 120 percent.”

It quoted Nnadi as saying, “We have been able to collect our set target of N5.2 billion naira once proving achievable”, as he appreciated all efforts put in by the staff of the command to achieve the milestone.

“Number 13, paragraph 2; of the Ag Comptroller General’s press conference paper on his first 100 days in office states that ‘Key performance indicators for the Nigeria Customs Service were revealing gaps that demand immediate attention’.

“This Comptroller Dera Nnadi mni has identified putting in strategies to block those gaps in Tincan Island Port Area Command.
