…Declares him Persona non grata

The National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders, NAGAFF has said that it has expelled and declared a former Secretary General of the association, Mr. Dipo Olayoku a Persona non grata following his role in the crisis currently rocking the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP.

Mr. Dipo Olayoku, a former Media Consultant and later, former National Secretary of NAGAFF was seconded to represent NAGAFF at the National Working Committee, NWC of NNPP in the build up to the 2023 general elections.

A statement signed by the Chairman, Board of Trustees, BoT of NAGAFF, Mr. Chidiebere Enelama and made available to Primetime Reporters on Tuesday disclosed that the decision to expel Mr. Olayoku from the association was taken at a joint session between the National Executive Council, NEC and the Board of NAGAFF which held at its national headquarters in Lagos on Monday.

The statement reads, “Mr. Dipo Olayoku is hereby declared persona non grata and stand expelled from the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders as a member of the foremost freight forwarding and logistics organisation in Nigeria.

“NAGAFF regrets to note that Senator Kwankwaso may have allowed himself to be decieved by Mr. Dipo Olayoku, hence his audacity to change the flag, logo and mutilation of the Constitution of the Party in an illegal Convention. It is our hope that Senator Kwankwaso’s lawyers should be able to tell him the legal implications. This is outright stealing and conversion.

“We the members of NAGAFF and on behalf of our founder, Dr. Aniebonam, the original owners of the New Nigeria People’s Party, whose certificate of registration is in our custody, hereby direct Senator Kwankwaso to sack Mr. Dipo Olayoku with immediate effect for anti-party activities and gross misconduct.

“Meanwhile, NAGAFF is being told by our Senior Advocate that a Federal High Court in Abuja ruled last week that the internal crisis in New Nigeria People’s Party is a family affair. Indeed, it is a family affair but the court has jurisdiction to make a clear decision in line with the Constitution of the Party to resolve same.

“All the same, Senator Kwankwaso and the National Working Committee should understand that the majority of the members of NAGAFF are the same people at the Board of the New Nigeria People’s Party at the time of registration with INEC Year 2002.

“With the presence of Dipo Olayoku in the Party, it shall be a common sense for Senator Kwankwaso and Buba galadima to understand that peace talk is not possible. Therefore, parties should be heading to Supreme Court under the circumstances.”

The statement, however, thanked the National President of NAGAFF, Chief Tochukwu Ezisi for his additional support of Fifty Million Naira for legal services while equally appreciating Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso for his efforts in adding value to the growth of NNPP within the political space of Nigeria.

“It is our hope that Kano State statutory allocation and the internally generated revenue should not be deployed in litigation. NAGAFF is looking forward to seeing Governor Kabir Abba Yusuf to showcase good governance in Nigeria than allowing unemployed characters to be causing confusion everywhere for their personal interest”, the statement concluded.
