The community of OrileBariga recently experienced a new development as the young executives of Poise Graduate Finishing Academy (PGFA) Stream 25 provided them with a manual bore-hole locally called ‘jagamu’.

The bore-hole which was commissioned by the facilitator of the programme, Mr. Olaniyi Omole, was sited at the Baale’s Palace at No. 1 Taiwo Street, Idi Aba bus-stop, Bariga Town, Lagos State.

The event, anchored by a member of PGFA Stream 25 – Anita Iroajanma, was graced with the presence of Mr. Henry Ononiwu and Mr.Olaniyi Omole (both members of staff of PGFA), the Baale, the Chairman, the Secretary, the Treasurer, Chief Imam, Palace Chiefs and the citizens of OrileBariga LCDA.

While commissioning the bore-hole, Omole told the community the extent of sacrifice the young executives went through, to see to the success of the project.

“These young graduates had to go begging in markets and shopping malls in order to raise fund to execute the project within two weeks.”

He said PGFA trains young graduates in acquiring employability skills and this project is a test of their abilities to work as a team to contribute to the infrastructural development of their immediate environment.

“This project was carried out by PGFA Stream 25 members comprising: Christiana Oloyede (Project Champion), Anita Iroajanma (Public Relations Officer), UgonnaArida (Event Planner), Adesewa Banjo (Project Accountant), OpeyemiWusu, TolulopeOladele, DivinewillMbanali, LukmanAdegoke, OloladeBamigbola, MotunrayoOwokogun, DamilolaAdeleye, MukosoluUdezue, ChimaAmadife, Emmanuel Okuboarere, Tope Anifowose, Linda Uzoma and Maria Anunobi.”

“These young executives have really shown their competence by completing the project within two weeks with no fund from any organization, other than the ones gotten from their appeal form from well-meaning public.”

The Baale of OrileBariga, Chief Waheed Owodunn iAgiri, was overwhelmed with joy and he thanked the young executives for the new development they brought to his community.

“I am grateful to these young executives in Stream 25 of Poise Graduate Finishing Academy, for choosing OrileBariga as the benefactor of their developmental project.”

He said that the donation is welcomed and appreciated, as the supply of water will be constant, with or without power supply,

“This donation will never be forgotten in the history of this community; posterity will benefit from it, generation after generation.”

He urged the citizens not to monopolize the bore-hole, as it is meant for all to use.
