The Chairman/Chief Consultant of Global Transport, GTP, Dr. Segun Musa, on Wednesday paid a courtesy visit to the new Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Olanrewaju Ishola at the Command’s headquarters in Lagos.
Dr. Musa said the visit was in furtherance of the strategic partnership between his company and the Lagos State Police Command and to welcome the new commissioner to the Centre of Excellence.
The transport policy expert assured the commissioner of his organization’s readiness to continue with the strategic capacity building support GTP has given the Lagos State Police Command and other necessary assistance.
He said: “It will be recalled that Area Traffic Officers serving in the Lagos State Police Command were the first set of paramilitary personnel that were trained on Emotional Intelligence Skills in the free training programs GTP has initiated for government institutions personnel that have high in-person contact with the populace.
“Under your able leadership, we wish to continue this strategic skill transfer to men and officers of your command and we know that you always want the best trainings for your officers necessary to build a formidable force against crime and yield excellent results.”
Responding, the commissioner welcomed Dr. Musa with an open hand and assured the GTP boss that with his open door policy, he would encourage him to do more for the Police.
“I sincerely thank you for the support you have given to the Police in Lagos State in the past, and now is time to do more. I am always open and willing to partner and collaborate with you in all of your programs to help the Police perform better”, CP Ishola said.
GTP had in recent past taken Area Traffic Officers through an intensive Train-the-Trainer masterclass after which they in turn trained the Divisional Traffic Officers and Traffic Officers across the Divisional Police headquarters in the Lagos State Command.
