The President, Shippers’ Association of Lagos State (SALS), Rev. Dr. Jonathan Nicol has bagged the Primetime Reporters’ Award of Excellence in recognition of his service to God and humanity.
The event which took place at the Aetherius Church International, Lagos on Sunday was in commemoration of the 1st year anniversary of Primetime Reporters Newspapers, an online newspaper based in Apapa Lagos.
Speaking during the presentation of the Award in the full glare of the church members, the Managing Director/Editor-in-Chief, Primetime Reporters Newspapers, Mr. Saint Augustine Nwadinamuo said that the award given to Rev. Nicol was in appreciation of his humanitarian services which according to him was not to discourage him (Nicol) but to let him know that his good gestures never go unnoticed thereby encouraging him to do more.
Nwadinamuo recalled that Rev. Nicol was not the richest man currently on the surface of the earth and that he was not doing all those gestures to show off but that he (Nicol) was doing what he had done with the conviction that that was what he was called to do as man created in the image of God.
He admonished the Reverend servant of God not to be deterred by the inability of those he has touched their lives to repay him or to show appreciation rather he should go on doing what he had been doing knowing that no kind gesture go unrewarded.
On his part, the Bishop of the Western Diocese of the Aetherius Church International, the Rt. Rev. Robert Mensa Acquah who happened to be at the church on a pastoral visit extolled the virtues of the Award recipient, Rev. Dr. Nicol explaining that humanitarian service was the core of the Aetherius Church worldwide.
While expressing happiness at the award, Rt. Rev. Acquah called on the members of the church to emulate the Rev. and follow in his foot step and affect the world they were living positively.
Responding, the Recipient, Rev. Dr. Jonathan Nicol expressed appreciation to God almighty who provided him with the resources to affect lives adding that the award would only spur him do more.
While thanking the Primetime Reporters Newspapers Management for the honour done him, he however dedicated the award to members of the Aetherius Church International, Shippers’ Association of Lagos and to the less privileged ones in the society.
Highlight of the event was the presentation of the Award of Excellence to the Reverend and the elevation of the three members of the church to the position of Priesthood of the church by the Bishop of Western Diocese, Rt. Rev. Robert Mensa Acquah.
