Forum recognizes NPA’s Head of Occupational Health Unit, to attend conference

The International Association of Ports and Harbours (IAPH) Women Forum has given the Assistant General Manager/Head of the Occupational Health Unit of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Mrs. Ngozi Obikili a special recognition to attend the forthcoming  conference which comes up between the 8th and 11th May, 2018 in Baku, Azerbaijan.

The recognition will see Obikili attend the forum as well as present an official paper to the association.

In an official statement announcing the recognition to NPA, Siti Noraishah Azizan, Chairperson of the conference, stated that several persons from various organizations had contested keenly for the coveted recognition and honour.

The Managing Director of the NPA, Hadiza Bala Usman while reacting to the development said, “This is great news and am very excited”.

She then stated that the NPA would continue to prioritize concerns on capacity building and the enthronement of efficiency in the workforce.

She also added that the level of professionalism in the organization was high, stressing that these forum was part of the basic avenue that would be utilized in turning the NPA into a role model.

She said that everyone in the organization had a role to play in promoting best practices and diligent quality services saying that “Anything less than these world class services are simply not acceptable. We on our part shall provide the leadership to attain best practices status”.
