The Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC has commenced pre-enforcement action on Starlink Communications over price hike on its subscription packages without approval by the regulatory agency. The company unilaterally reviewed upwards its subscription packages without obtaining the necessary approval from the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC. The action of the company, according to a statement signed by the Director, Public Affairs, NCC, Reuben Muoka was in contravention of Sections 108 and 111 of the Nigerian Communications Act,NCA, 2003, and Starlink’s Licence Conditions regarding tariffs.
