SIFAX Inland Container Terminal, an off dock terminal owned by SIFAX Group, has recorded over 33,500 TEUs in its first year of operations. The terminal, located at Ijora, Lagos, was commissioned in October, 2020 to alleviate the difficulties experienced by various port users, including truckers, shipping lines, agents and consignees in accessing the Lagos ports. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) should have rejected Senator Andy Uba as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the November 6 gubernatorial election in Anambra State long before the October 7 deadline for the change of candidates in the vote, according to the Coalition of Civil Society Organizations (CCSOs) in the state. The Oyo State Government says it has set up an intervention committee to intensify the evacuation of wastes and debris within the State. The Committee consists of management from Oyo State Waste Management Authority, the Ministry of Environment and some selected Private Sector Participants (PSPs). The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) is undertaking review of the financial statement of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Banks, Pension Fund Administrators and Custodians to ensure compliance with the Financial Reporting Council Act.
