The National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) on Friday announced the dissolution of all executives in six of its chapters in the Western Zone. A statement issued in Lagos by the National President of NAGAFF, Chief Increase Uche said the dissolution became necessary following security report at the disposal of the national headquarters. Uche which named the affected chapters to include; Apapa, Tincan, Kirikiri Lighter Terminal (KLT), Ports and Terminal Multiservices Limited (PTML) Lillypond/Ijora and the Murtala Mohammed (MMA) chapters, said the dissolution is with immediate effect. The Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC) will next week hold a one-day meeting with stakeholders on the operations of the Kaduna Dry Port. The meeting which is expected to focus on the processes of documentation of the Kaduna bound cargoes, obligations of terminal operators and shipping companies will hold January 25th, 2018 at the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos. A stray bullet from the officials of the Comptroller- General of Customs Compliance Team this morning hit an 8-month pregnant woman, Olugunna Bukola who was on her way to work. The officials were said to be in pursuit of smugglers around Ota area of Ogun State when the incident occurred.
