The names of a total 247 officers and men of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) who committed one offence or the other who have been either dismissed, demoted, cautioned or forcefully retired have been release. A boat carrying about 20 passengers between the hours of 9.30am to 10am Tuesday capsized in Lagos waters leaving one person dead. The Association of Tourist Boats and Water Transportation of Nigeria (ATBOWATON) has described the claims made by the marine police that it recovers between 10 and 15 corpses on daily basis in parts of Lagos waterways as not totally true. The Seme border command of the Nigeria Customs Service has assured that it will meet its revenue target for 2017, ban on importation of vehicles through the land borders and rice not withstanding.
