The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) has said that it has concluded emergency work on the massive fire that gutted an industrial estate at Fatai Atere Street recently. The LASEMA boss, Mr. Adesina Tiamiyu who made this known in a chat with newsmen in Lagos said that the fire which took the agency 24 hours to extinguish called for concern about safety in work places, industries and homes. …Collects over N638M in September The Seme border command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) yesterday invaded Gbaji, a border community in Lagos where it evacuated and seized about two thousand three hundred (2,300) bags of smuggled rice from various houses. The Lagos Safety Commission has said that it will soon commence an annual certification of all boats operating on the Lagos waterways in other to ensure safety of both passengers and operators.
