The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has destroyed twenty-four thousand, three hundred and four kilogrammes (24,304kg) of assorted forfeited narcotic drugs seized within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja. The Lagos State Police Command may sack three Policemen attached to Bariga Divisional Headquarters for allegedly handcuffing a man and chaining him to a power Generator in the station. The erring policemen which include a Police Inspector are currently facing Police disciplinary processes popularly called ‘Police orderly room trial’ . If found guilty, the three cop may end up losing their job. The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has commiserated with the Cross River State Government and the families of the people who lost their lives in the fire incident that occurred at the Linc Oil and Gas Tank Farm located at the Calabar Free Trade Zone last Saturday. Days after suspending the Executive Secretary of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), Usman Yusuf over allegations of corruption, the Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole, has suspended eight top management staff of the agency. The alliance between the two biggest freight forwarding associations in the country, the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) and the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) may be on its way to collapsing.
