The Police Command in Enugu State has raised alarm over increasing cases of passengers and drivers being drugged and dispossessed of their belongings and vehicles by unscrupulous elements in the state. Delays noticeable during cargo clearance at the ports have been blamed on improper declarations by the importers. The Customs Area Controller of the Ports and Terminals Multiservices Limited (PTML), Comptroller Modupe Adeyanju Aremu who stated this in an interview with newsmen in Lagos said if importers could make correct declarations, their goods would exit the ports within a space of six hours. The Lagos State Government has announced that there will be diversion of traffic along the outer Marina between 6a.m and 2p.m on Sunday 9th July to allow the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) install some equipment for the Light Rail project.
