The anti-smuggling drive of the Federal Operations Unit (FOU) Zone A Ikeja received a major boost following the interception of an articulated truck laden with items neatly concealed and suspected to be contraband goods. The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) and the Nigerian Navy have resolved to deepen their collaboration with the aim of providing a safe and secure maritime environment for shipping activities. The African Ship owners Association (ASA) has decried the non availability of accurate record of the number of cargoes coming into and leaving Africa annually. The Governor of Anambra State, Chief Wille Obiano has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to refund the N25 billion debt which the state government spent in reconstructing  federal roads in the state. The founder, National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) has called on the Joint Council of Seaport Truckers as well as other trucking associations operating in Lagos state to visit the Lagos State House of Assembly with a view to appealing to them to repel the Lagos Traffic law.
