The Nigerian Police, Ondo State Command, has confirmed the death of the former Vice- Chancellor (VC) of the Federal University of Technology, Akure ( FUTA), Prof. Albert Ilemobade, who was said to have been kidnapped by unknown gunmen last week. Abdulrahman Mani, the Chief Security Officer (CSO) to President Muhammadu Buhari has revoked the directive by the president’s Aide-De-Camp (ADC) to the President, Lt.-Col. Lawal Abubakar preventing Department of State Services (DSS) operatives from giving the president close protection. A Deputy Superintendent of Police, Tamuno Jacob Igbomie, who was Principal Security Officer to the wife of the former President, Patience Jonathan, has been killed by unknown assailants. Igbomie’s corpse was reported to have been found in his Honda Accord car last Friday along the Airport Road, Abuja.
