The Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Mrs Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, has called on secondary school students in the state to fully embrace the Spirit of Lagos’ School Challenge initiative, aimed at bringing about solutions to some of the social problems the students face in their communities. The university is an initiative of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA). The Shippers Association of Lagos State (SALS) has advised its members as well as the entire shippers in Lagos State to boycott the National Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO) sheds until further notice. Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano has condoled the Azikiwe Family and Obi of Onitsha on the death of Chief Chukwuma Bamidele Azikiwe, Owelle of Onitsha, eldest son of Nigeria’s first president, the late Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe on Sunday May 11, 2015, aged 75.
