The Management of the Seaview Properties Limited (SPL), a subsidiary of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has been challenged to explore its local market and compete favourably with its competitors in the property market.

The Managing Director of NPA, Malam Habib Abdullahi while urging the Management of the Company to continue to look outward in the nation’s property market, reiterated that the Authority shall continue to give some level of autonomy to Management of the Company to enable it achieve its targets.

Mallam Abdullahi was speaking in Lagos Thursday shortly after commissioning some working tools for the SPL which includes three Hilux vehicles, Motor and Automatic Sweeping Machines, Water Tankers, Refuge Compactor and Dislodger.

The Managing Director who is also the Chairman of the the Board of SPL expressed the confidence that with the commissioning of the additional working tools, the SPL should be in position to compete favourably with other dominant players in the nation’s property market.

While commending the SPL Management for acquiring the tools, which he said were wholly financed by the company, the Managing Director pointed out that the NPA Management was delighted with the SPL successes in recent years.

“I must say that as Management, we are proud of the SPL. Your achievements in the last 18 months gives us confidence of your abilities to compete favourably in the property market. The feat you achieved a couple of months is unprecedented in the history of the company”, he said.

Mallam Habib appealed to the SPL Management to put the newly acquired equipment to good use, with a view to generating more internally generated revenue to the Organization.

Earlier the Head, SPL Engr. Philipson Falade had told the Managing Director that with the acquisition of the new equipment the sky is the limit for the company, adding that the SPL is poised to provide services in areas not limited to environmental but also waste management, industrial scale clearing, fumigation, pest control, landscaping and lawn management as well as provision of treated water to numerous customers, individuals and corporate organizations.

While assuring that the Company would look beyond the NPA for its customers, the Head SPL assured prospective clients of the Company of efficient and effective service delivery.
