Contrary to insinuations in some quarters that the Committee set up by the National Executive Council (NEC) of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) at its recent meeting to interface with the Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN) on the Practitioners’ Operating Fee was turned out of the Registrar’s office by the Registrar, Sir Mike Jukwe, a member of the Committee, Evang. Chuks David Kanikwu has said that there was no truth in that statement.

Reacting to the claim, Kanikwu stated that the committee never went to with the Registrar rather it wrote the Registrar requesting to meet with him, a request which he said the committee was yet to get response to from the Registrar.

He said,” I want to tell you, we did not go to meet him, we wrote a letter requesting to meet with him and up till now, he has not responded to that so that we can meet with him”.

“We did not go to him as a body and say we want to meet with him and he turned us down. We wrote a letter, I am not the Secretary of the Committee but I know he has not responded”.
