On the heels of the ever-growing interest by potential investors in support of the programmes of the Governor Obiano’s administration in Anambra State, Wife of the Governor, Chief (Mrs.) Ebelechukwu Obiano has urged potential investors especially wealthy Anambra indigenes to emulate the example of the proprietor of Awka Wonderland and Ausco Farms Limited, Chief Austin Ndigwe and bring home investments to the state to help create employment and grow the state economy.

Mrs. Obiano made the plea while on inspection of facilities at Awka Wonderland Amusement Park and Resort in Awka Anambra State.

Mrs. Obiano observed that the administration of her husband and the accommodating nature of the Ndi Anambra have made the state a preferred investment destination.

According to Mrs. Obiano, “Our state Anambra is now safe for everyone thanks to the Governor who has promoted security and put in place attractive policies to encourage investment. I expect that our wealthy sons and daughters will now contribute their quota and wealth of experience into the socio-economic development of the state. Awka Wonderland is a very good initiative which should be emulated.”

Mrs. Obiano who described Ndi Anambra as very industrious and progressive people, emphasized that Governor Obiano’s administration had laid the ground work and built the necessary infrastructure for businesses to thrive.

She assured that government has provided enabling environment for businesses and industries to thrive in the state.

Furthermore, Mrs. Obiano stated, “I am not just saying this because he is my husband but because I am also from Anambra and we are all witnesses to the transformation going on in the state, they are building institutions. My role is merely to support him and anyone ready to work in the interest of our state. Let us join hands with the government and collectively resolve to build our state.  If we do not, nobody can do it for us.”

She thanked the proprietor of the facility for the good job and promised him that she would ensure the support of her pet project, Caring Family Enhancement Initiative (CAFÉ) through the use of the facilities, and also appeal for government continuous support for those like him who were willing and able to make the sacrifice.

In his remarks, the proprietor of the centre, Chief Austine Ndigwe thanked Governor Obiano for his investor-friendly policies and urged other companies to take advantage of the conducive environment existing in the state and locate their factories in the state.

He equally commended the wife of the governor for finding time to visit the facilities promising that they were ready to offer Ndi Anambra a new experience in leisure and hospitality.
