No! Amiwero is the impersonator –Njoku

The President, National Council of Managing Directors of Licensed Customs Agents (NCMDLCA), Mr. Lucky Amiwero has advised the Federal Ministry of Transport against having any business transaction with the Chief Festus Ejiofor’s led faction of the association.

Amiwero who gave the advice in a letter he addressed to the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation informed that Chief Festus Ejiofor and Mr. Bennett Ndee who were allegedly being used by the Registrar of the Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN) to create confusion in the ports were facing criminal charges of forgery of certificate and impersonation of the association.

He advised the Ministry of Transport to remove themselves from the illegality with persons whom he said were facing criminal charges by affiliating with them and with their nefarious activities in theports.

According to him,” The following persons; Festus Ejiofor and Ndee who has been used by the Registrar of the Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarders to create confusion in the ports are facing criminal charges of forgery of certificate and impersonation of the National Council of Managing Directors of Licensed Customs Agents at Igbosere Magistrate Court 10 Lagos state.

“The Ministry of Transport should remove themselves from the illegality with persons facing criminal charges by affiliating with them, with their nefarious activities, the Ministry should remove themselves from the present activities and gain respect for itself as an organ of government”.

But in a rejoinder in response to an earlier letter written to the Minister of Finance by Amiwero, the factional Secretary General of NCMDLCA, Forwarder Charles Njoku told the Honourable Minister of Transfer that Mr. Lucky Amiwero was “an ambulance chaser, meddlesome interloper and a busy body seeking undue relevance”.

Njoku disclosed that Amiwero was not operating a license issued by the Nigeria Customs Service neither was he a registered freight forwarder under the control and regulation of the Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN).

“The implication is that you are dealing or talking with a busy body who is illegally looking for a means of livelihood and relevance. Mr. Lucky Amiwero at the moment is in court with CRFFN, Nigeria Customs/National Council of Managing Directors of Licensed Customs Agents (NCMDLCA) as an impersonator. Having laid this background, it is our wish to respond to issues raised as we cannot deny him as a Nigerian despite his shortcomings”, Njoku said.
