The Poultry Association of Nigeria (PAN) as well as the entire poultry farmers in the country has commended the outstanding performance of the Nigeria Customs Service, Seme Area Command over its effort at curtailing the excesses of the smugglers of the frozen poultry products in the country.

The Customs Area Controller (CAC) of Seme Area Command, Mr. Garba Ndalati who made this known while destroying some of the poultry products seized by the command concealed in various forms to evade officers on duty stressed that smugglers of poultry products should find genuine and alternative ways of doing business as the tempo of Zero tolerance to smuggling of poultry products would be sustained in the command.

Ndalati in a release signed by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Taupyen Selechang noted that in compliance with Headquarters’ directive in July 2015 on enforcement of total ban on importation of poultry product into Nigeria, it was evident that Seme Area Command complied with the directive by launching Operation Hawk Descend on the 7th of July, 2015.
