Ibori to return to Nigeria before December 2016- Amori

Facts emerged yesterday that the former Governor of Delta State, Chief James Ibori who is serving his jail term in London is expected to be released soon.

Although it is not yet clear when he is likely to be released, his political associates in Delta State believed the former Governor would celebrate the 2016 Christmas at his hometown, Oghara.

In a goodwill message marking the 50th Birthday Ceremony/thanksgiving Service of Mr. Ben Igbakpa, former Delta State Commissioner for Transport at Ovade, Oghara yesterday, the Odidimadi of Africa, Chief Ighoyota Amori declared that Chief James Onanefe Ibori, former Governor of Delta State will celebrate the 2016 Christmas in his Country home, Oghara in Ethiope West Local Government Area of the State.

Chief Amori who did not give details of the time Ibori will be released, expressed confidence that he will be around in December.

“Our Son, brother and political leader will celebrate the 2016 Christmas with us here in Oghara. I am sure of that”, he said.

Also, the immediate past Commissioner for Environment in the State, Mr. Frank Omare declared that he would not celebrate his birthday until Chief James Ibori was released from prison and returned back to Oghara.

Mr. Omare who described Chief Ibori as an icon stated that, “Ibori brought and nurtured me in politics. He made me what I am today.”

On his part, the Celebrant, Mr. Ben Igbakpa promised to sustain the legacies of Chief Ibori until he returned to Oghara for good.
